WhatsApp is how members of a team twin reach it day to day. Each member’s phone is fenced to exactly the one twin they’re on — they can’t reach your other twins, and they see only what that twin is allowed to answer.
1:1 messages only. Meta does not deliver group messages to the Cloud API, so a twin can’t participate in a WhatsApp group.

Set it up

Invite the member by phone:
Their first WhatsApp message to the twin’s number claims the invite — the membership flips from invited to active and gets a resolvable identity. No code to paste, no app to install.

How a message routes

  1. Member — the sender’s number matches an active or invited member. The ask runs scoped to that twin and is attributed to them.
  2. Bound number — no membership, but the business number is bound to a twin. The ask runs against the bound twin.
  3. Neither — a polite “not connected” reply, rate-limited to once per phone per day.

Escalations work the same

If the twin isn’t confident, the question escalates to you exactly as it would from Slack or the CLI. Your answer relays back to the member in their thread.
